Penland Orchards & Farm Market (formerly Penland's Apple House) - Ellijay GA

We visited this place on a Thursday and we had the whole place to ourselves. Apple season is winding down and this store will soon be closed for the season. Still we had a very large selection of apples to choose from and all kinds of sweets. They make their own fried pork skins here. I highly recommend them. The locals load up on them the last week of the season. We were told that they freeze well to be eaten later. Who knew?! In the end we settled on a 40 pound box of Mississippi Sweets, one of the best sweet potato that you will ever eat. Very friendly staff and a large parking lot.

We've driven by so many times and never stopped before today. Not really a lot of gifts if that's what you're looking for, but a good variety of salsa and jams. There weren't a lot of choices for apples, but there was a bun of super cute bin mini pumpkins out front. Yeah, I bought a bunch of those. 😀🎃 There's a nice covered area for chilling and enjoying your goodies such as donuts or ice cream. There's a few fun photo op spots.

Mutsu Apples are delicious and affordable, and alot to choose from. Amish popcorn 🍿 butter and salt delicious Friendly helpful staff welcoming atmosphere and affordable prices will definitely be back

Located across the street from Panorama Orchards is Penland Orchards Farm Market!! These guys are doing it right! With multiple tables, full of peaches and apples… You can get strawberries, jellies, dressings, honey, there is even a section where you can get children’s books, hats, shirts, and souvenirs. At checkout, you can get fresh apple, fritters, donuts, and frozen fruit smoothies (I got a large strawberry smoothie) so delicious! While this area is a little far away from home, they have an excellent selection, top quality, fruits, and the employees are an absolute pleasure to speak with. You won’t be disappointed! A note about the parking… It is free and the parking lot is reasonably sized. Off to the side, there is a large gravel area for overflow. So you should never have to worry about parking.

Penland's had their apple butter along with fresh fried apple pies and fritters. There were a lot of apple products and apples. They also had wearing apparel,gifts,souvenirs,and other food products. The store space was decorated with old farm implements and tools hung on the wall. Penland's is a fun place to shop.
