B.J. Reece Orchards - Ellijay GA

Great family experience! We visited B J Reece Orchards over the weekend and had a wonderful time. It’s a great place to visit with family — there were plenty of apples to pick, and the orchard views were beautiful. The marketplace was large and had a great selection of local goods, treats, and apple-themed items. Lines to checkout were so long tht many left without buying anything. They have 3 U-pick areas so be prepared to walk. There are lots of fun activities for kids, including animal petting, the giant hamster wheel, corn pit, apple cannon, and slides — definitely something for everyone! The general admission tickets are reasonably priced at $13 and expensive one was $36 that includes all activities. Their apple bags start from $10, $20 and $40 I believe. Be prepared for lot of walking and a bit of a wait in lines, especially on weekends, but it’s absolutely worth it for the overall experience. We’ll definitely be back next season! 🍎

It is almost the end of the season but still some good apples are out there. Huge orchard with at least 3 different sections for you picking. Petting farm has lots of domestic animals. There are some activities for kids as well. As this is a huge farm, it would be good to have few volunteers to guide the visitors. Store products priced at a higher side.

Best price for the fun. Delicious Crimson Crisp apples. Petting zoo. Corn box was so fun! Farm slide and hamster wheel. We had a great time! We spent almost 4 hours enjoying the apple picking and activities. Lots of places to use the bathroom. This was so helpful.

Traveling through Georgia, we spotted a sign for the “world’s best fried apple pie” at B.J. Reece Orchards — and obviously, we had to slam on the brakes and investigate. Priorities, right? Let me just say… the sign was NOT lying. My husband and I both agree it was hands-down the best fried apple pie we’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy, warm, gooey apple goodness, and basically everything you hope for when you hear the words fried apple pie. Zero regrets stopping here! We didn’t get a chance to try the apples, cider, or the jarred goodies this time (which just means we have an excellent excuse to come back). When we do, you better believe I’ll be back with an update! If you’re passing through, do yourself a favor and stop. Your taste buds will thank you. 🍎🥧

Visited in January, still apples and plenty of great options. We got a bundle of apples, blueberry scones, red velvet cookies, honey sticks and peppermint rounds. Everything was great definitely less in the winter than the Spring through Fall, but still a great shop with classic options.
