My review is of the shaved ice, since there was no picking available today. We checked Facebook in advance and knew there was no picking, but went for the shaved ice anyway. It did not disappoint. Pretty classy creations for a berry patch! And popular, the parking lot was fairly full. Plenty of shaded tables and benches and a porta potty are available. The patch itself appears fairly small, that is, all the plants are in close proximity without a lot of walking required.

Nice little spot woth lots of fresh berries! The snow cones were delicious! Love that they are made from all natural ingredients with no artificial flavors or sweeteners.

Blackland Berry Farm snow cones are the best I’ve ever had! It’s owned by the sweetest family. The ice is perfection and the flavors are delicious. A great place to visit with friends or family. We will be back!

My husband and I went this past weekend to pick berries for my birthday- It was great and and a lot of fun! The people are really sweet and friendly too :) There were a lot of berries (Blueberries & Blackberries) to pick, and they give you a basket to use that you can buy if you want to keep it at the end :) They also don't use pesticides, so you can eat the berries straight off the bush. There aren't many bugs either! Just some beetles you can swipe away and the occassional spider :) It was super hot when we went, but there was nice breeze so it wasn't too bad. Their shaved ice is also delicious! We got their coffee and chocolate flavored shaved ice :) Will definitely go again ^^

VERY SPECIAL AND UNKNOWN - Deep in Rockwall County Texas on a parcel of property known as “Blackland Berry Farm” is perhaps the most unique snowcone stand I’ve ever come across. It does not even have a name, other than a flag that declares SNOW CONES at the entrance to the small gravel lot. This is a place that makes 100% natural snow cones with no artificial ingredients or sugars. They are not bright or neon colors, as the stuff they use is all real. The flavors are light, nothing overwhelming or sticky. Even the whipped cream is somehow all natural! They are so dedicated to making cheap, natural, high quality snow cones they forgot to do any kind of marketing. They don’t have a website, they don’t even have hours stated online. What presence they have is all 100% on facebook, but I did ask the owner the hours to report back to you all. May 2025: Closed Monday - Thursday Friday - 4pm-8pm Saturday 2pm-8pm Sunday Noon-5pm June, July and August 2025 Closed Monday - Wednesday Thursday - 2pm-8pm Friday - 2pm-8pm Saturday 2pm-8pm Sunday 12pm-5pm These tiny, owner operated spots are trying to make things the old fashioned way and keep quality high.
