The Skokie Talking Farm has been built, tilled and plowed on the site of one of the last surviving parcels of prairie in the East Prairie area. The stark irony of leveling a native landscape teeming with biodiversity in favor of a food production site under the guise of 'sustainability' and 'education' will always remain tasteless and unpalatable.
