Smith Farms - Fountain Valley CA

Absolutely fabulous local organic farm stand right here in Fountain Valley. Although not everything is organic, as they need to source supplemental fruits and vegetables to round out the seasonal ebb and flow of different produce road right here in Orange County, even the small farm plot behind the farm stand. Laurie Smith, farmer's wife, is welcoming and wonderful welcoming for a chat as she is a wealth of knowledge for how fruit and vegetables are grown + how to keep them fresh longer in the fridge! Please do support this independent organic family farm to keep these small businesses alive!

So so disappointed the website said it was open we drove from Anaheim...we are visiting from Idaho. We pulled in to a sign that said closed. I understand there are different seasons but update your website.

A rare gem of kindness and community spirit! I stopped by Smith Farms this evening hoping to grab some cherry tomatoes, only to realize they had already closed. I figured I’d missed my chance—but to my surprise, they opened the doors just for me. My total came to $6.50, and with their $10 minimum for card purchases and no cash on hand, I was ready to walk away empty-handed. Instead, they handed me the tomatoes and refused to charge me this evening (I will go back tomorrow and pay them). In a world where generosity feels increasingly rare, Smith Farms reminded me what true neighborly kindness looks like. Their produce is always fresh, but it’s their heart that makes this place truly special. Thank you for going above and beyond—you’ve earned a lifelong customer.

I've been a friend of the family and a regular customer at their farmers markets for about 10 years. Their quality is impeccable. The prices are a bit on the high side, but it's worth it. Great organic strawberries, and a little later on in the summer their melons are outstanding. The Tuscan cantaloupes are amazing! Wonderful collection of other organic fruits and vegetables. Can't recommend them enough.

Stopped in for the first time to Smith Farms and was pleasantly surprised to see all the fresh produce and at great prices. It's great to have a local, fresh and trusted farm vegetable and fruit store in town. Mack and Laurie Smith have a great place with a lot of good quality right here at Callens historical residence.
