Plant Depot - San Juan Capistrano CA

This is my favorite Nursery in the O.C. , it has very healthy plants and knowledgeable people working at the nursery. It's a one stop shop for gifts and co. I love the shade plant assortment available at plant depot. The rose quality and choice is top notch.

This was my first visit to Plant Depot. I love that it is a one-stop shopping place for the variety of items we were looking for. Everything was easy to find because it is all very organized. We were shopping for a new home and garden and some gifts. We found everything we were looking for easily, and the staff were very available and helpful. We found the dwarf fruit trees we were looking for, a lovely bonsai tree for a gift, a variety of house plants, veggie starters, seeds, and gifts. I felt as if I was in a retreat garden. The children were fascinated by the very large koi fish in the lovely pond. They also have a very nice selection of educational toys and books for children. All in all, we all experienced a delightful outing.

Wow!! Well this place truly lacks customer service, professionalism, and value. The plants are overpriced, and the staff is consistently rude. I would avoid this place at all costs. If you value your dollar and want Pleasant shopping experience, go anywhere else Green thumb, Home depot, Lowe's, Armstrong - any of them would be a better choice than Plant Depot the owner is unapologetic, and REX the so-called manager , is extremely rude. The cashiers seem untrained, inexperienced and unprofessional. Overall a very disappointed experience. And make sure you check your receipt because they don't give you the discounts when they have stickers on the planters. They don't honor what they are advertising very deceptive and I truly believe it's very deliberate. Bye-bye Plant Depot

I’m a long time gardener and I have an appreciation for quality plants and gardening supplies. Plant depot does an excellent job displaying their plants and their customer service is excellent. However, get ready to pay a premium especially when it comes to pottery. I was looking for a specific pot made by a supplier called Sedona and the specific description is called a tapered square pot-Item #8915-A. Plant Depot had these in stock for $241.99 each and I needed two of them. I called Green Thumb in Lake Forest and they had these exact same pots for $199.99 each. That’s over an $80 savings. I asked if they would price match and they abruptly said “NO”! Moral of the story…shop Green Thumb first to avoid getting price gouged especially when it comes to pottery.

I give this place a two star. Customer service inside the store when you return something. We Bought a fuchsia hanging plants it was not clearly marked the price was $39.99 the 3 faded. The the price appeared to be $9.99 plus they have an additional tag on it that said 30% off we pay we go home we look at our receipt and it clearly said $39.99 with no 30% off we go back Sunday morning approach the store two young ladies were at the front counter very unhelpful they called the manager who looked at the price and said I can see the three I explained to him that they also did not give us the 30% off. The way they handled this was unacceptable very unhelpful, rude and unhelpful we will not return to the store ever
