Rowell's Apple House - Crossville TN

Very disappointed in the apples. I was looking for Honeycrisp, which they didn't have. I get that. I asked which was closest to that flavor and texture. She said Jonagold. Well they are VERY mealy, not juicy and have no tart flavor. Not even close. Yuk! You aren't allowed to pick up apples or sniff them. You literally can't touch them. The bag I bought had 2 bad apples in it. The box of " deer" apples I bought is going to waste because even the deer won't eat them. LOL I'm not sure why you cant touch or sniff stuff? I've never been to an apple place that was so strict with no warmth to customers. Store apples are better then this! I can also pick thru and get what I want at a store. This place is a hard pass. Save your money and go elsewhere.

A great place to get local fresh apples. They have many varieties depending on the month.

Had all our favorites and couldn't have a better experience. He will help you find the correct apple's for you. Tart Sweet good for baking ect.

Really lovely apple store on a beautiful piece of land. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different tastes and uses of each variety, and was so sweet to our baby. Most importantly, the apples were delicious! Quite ridiculous that anyone would complain about not being able to touch the apples. They are incredibly fresh, so I appreciate the business ensuring they’re handled as little as possible before being purchased. Highly recommend a visit to support local farmers and businesses.
