🍓 + 🍕 = Perfect Louisiana Day We had an amazing time visiting Mrs. Heather’s Strawberry Farm—and wow… the strawberries were fresh, sweet, and absolutely delicious! It’s always inspiring to see local farms putting so much care into quality. You can really taste the difference when ingredients are fresh and locally grown. That’s something we believe in at The Original Italian Pie of Kenner—using fresh ingredients to bring the best flavors to our pizza, pasta, and everything we serve right here in Kenner. 👉 Make it a full local day: Start with strawberry picking 🍓 Finish with pizza night 🍕 Tag someone you’d take to the farm (and then to pizza after 👇) Follow us for more local spots, community highlights, and the best pizza in Kenner! #KennerLA #SupportLocal #LouisianaEats #FreshIngredients #PizzaKenner #StrawberrySeason #CommunityFirst #ItalianPieKenner
This was a fantastic experience!! It was so much fun being able to pick your own strawberries, and also eat them as you pick, haha. We went on Good Friday so naturally it was pretty busy but there was still plenty enough rows to pick from. It’s definitely geared more towards kids and field trip style outings as there is a very big play area with numerous playground equipment, but it was still a lot of fun going as an adult only group. $20 for a gallon $10 for 1/2 gallon Unlimited time. There is a small farm store that sells wares and small bites. Lots of picnic tables available
$20 big bucket $10 small bucket I recommend going early. The people running the stand are so kind and friendly. We got a smoothie and strawberry jam and they were delicious. The patches were big. Lots of space to pick from. The strawberries were big! And you can see more growing in too. Besides the juicy yummy strawberries the play area is amazing! You can tell they thought of all age groups. They have bounce pad and swing sets. Picture areas, sand pit with dump drinks, hay bails, zip line, big connect four, slides and they had a cute goat too! They have a few benches to sit and covered areas to sit and relax. We had so much fun and will be going back!
My experience at Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin & Strawberry Patch was thoroughly underwhelming. A thorough search of the strawberry fields yielded nothing but rotten and bug-eaten berries. The play equipment and farm facilities appear to be in disrepair, indicating a lack of maintenance and updates. The strawberry irrigation system is outdated, and some rows lack connection to the system altogether. The farm's overall appearance suggests neglect. To maintain a successful business, regular maintenance and upgrades are crucial. When I shared our disappointing experience with the owner, highlighting the subpar quality of the berries, she seemed dismissive, inquiring about the children's experience on the playground. I clarified that we had only just arrived and spent our time searching for suitable berries, which proved unsuccessful. Despite our disappointment and the poor condition of the berries, the owner declined to provide a refund, even with two upset children and a paltry harvest of five mediocre berries. The visit was an unfortunate waste of time and money. I would recommend exploring alternative options, such as Liuzza Land or Landry Poche Farm in Holden. In retrospect, purchasing a $25 flat of berries from a roadside stand in Ponchatoula would have been a more satisfactory choice for my family.
Went here with my little sister for 1st grade field trip in April. The place was packed with several different schools but was not overwhelming due to the large amount of acreage. The place is kept up with VERY nicely. There were tons of beautiful juicy strawberries to pick from and take home (tho it looked to be pretty empty by the end of the day). We had so much fun picking strawberries, petting live chickens, getting our faces painting, and playing in their unique playground! Would recommend this for schools and especially homeschoolers over and over again!
