We had a field trip with our homeschool Co op today and we had the best time! The staff was so friendly and helpful, and they even had a little langiappe surprise for our kiddos at the end: they each got to plant their own strawberry plant in a cup to bring home! We picked delicious strawberries, learned all about the farm's history and how strawberry plants grow from Mrs. Rhonda, and had a picnic in a shaded area with picnic tables while the kids played on their playground. They had multiple groups coming through at a time, but we all ended up with time in each area with just our own group for the most part which was so nice. We are so very thankful for this wonderful day had at their farm! ❤️
Super cool place to visit, and the gentleman was just as excited to tell me about what they do there as I was to listen. I learned all about strawberry harvesting, picked a handful myself, and went home with a box. Way more fun than I ever thought it would be.
What a wonderful afternoon we had with the kids!! They have plenty of picnic tables where you can bring a lunch, and some play equipment. We tried going at about 11:45 am, and it was still packed with a school group. So we went and got subway and brought it back about 12:30, and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. So go in the afternoon if you want to avoid school crowds, or call and see if there's any scheduled for that day. The u-pick field is not treated with pesticides, so we were comfortable eating while we picked! (We probably ate as much as we picked between the five of us, they were delicious!!) A wooden tray of 8 pints was $20, or a bucket (6 pint I think) was $13, which we thought was very reasonable. They also had some canned products for sale, we got some beautiful dark honey and strawberry jam! Mrs. Rhonda was SO kind and helpful! It was definitely a "mom & pop" place, and we are happy to support their business! This seemed like a much more enjoyable experience and a better value than the other place up in Albany (we actually planned to go there first, but turned around and left as soon as we saw how insanely crowded it was) 10/10, highly recommend!! 😁🍓
If you want the best strawberries you ever had, go here!! Fantastic, amazing big strawberries. Good, local family run business.
Went on a field trip with my daughter and we had a great time. The strawberries are phenomenal and the owners are very nice! It has a nice picnic table area that you can eat lunch at under a canopy and a few things like swings and such for the kids to enjoy. Buy the flat of berries! Was a great first experience and we enjoyed picking and eating those fresh strawberries
