Gene's Greenhouses - Loranger LA

I love this place! I drove an hour from New Orleans to check it out and I’m so happy I did. They had every plant I was looking for and then some. Their prices are awesome too. They have newer, smaller plants at lower prices and the bigger version for you to choose from. This was what I was looking for, since most nurseries you can only get mature plants and I don’t have the funds or room to purchase a $40 large, mature plant. The staff was sooo helpful too!! Jessica and her father answered my millions of questions and taught me a lot, plus gave me great recommendations on plants for my lighting. Super excited for my purchases and will be back! Just remember it is a green house so it’s HOT while you’re looking. It was tolerable for me, but I was sweating a lot. They have fans, but just be warned and dress properly if you’re going in the summer.

This is by far my new favorite nursery! I had the absolute most wonderful afternoon here. Ms. Jessica is so helpful and knowledgeable. They've got so many beautiful plants and I will definitely have to come back next time I'm in LA.

I was in town visiting family and went to check out Gene’s Greenhouse. I’m so glad I did! They have a huge variety of plants! I love succulents and I got most of the plants that I’ve been looking for. The staff were very nice and helpful and knowledgeable. I will stop by again the next time I’m in town.

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly people! The selection is great and they have something for everyone, plant nerds to new plant people. Definitely buy from this family run nursery!
