I am in North Carolina and I called Himmel’s Landscape and Garden Center in Maryland And ordered a Japanese maple tree to be planted in the yard of my best friend To honor the memory of their son who lost his life to wicked cancer. The experience that I had talking to Elizabeth was over the top wonderful. Such a nice lady helping me with my needs in another state and a compassionate heart as well. I have been buying compost, soil, mulch and rocks from Himmels for several years. They have the best prices anywhere hands down! I'm a vegetable gardener and have very limited knowledge outside of that. I've been wanting to create flower/shrubs beds in front of our home for a few years now but had no idea where to even begin. I showed up at Himmels with pictures of the area, a vision, hopes and prayers, lol. The owner Elizabeth is PHENOMENAL. She and her staff were so incredibly helpful, kind, patient and knowledgeable. She literally drew up a diagram of what I wanted, walked me around the nursery showing me the best options, gave me tons of pointers and helped me plan each area complete with names/descriptions of each plant. I was able to purchase what I needed to confidently create beautiful beds that add so much curb appeal to our home. Thank you Elizabeth for helping me today and making my experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. You helped me tackle a project I have been putting off for years because I didn't have anyone to help me figure it out or the plant knowledge. You made the process make so much more sense and fun! Terrible business. We've gotten better customer service at the MVA. Himmel's can't answer messages in a timely manner if at all. My wife and I took time off work for them to come out to do an estimate and they no-showed. They were 30 minutes late so I messaged them. A half-hour later, they respond with... 'Oh, sorry. Our guy was double-booked. Wanna try again?' We each lost a half-day's work for nothing. It took two weeks just to get that appointment set up. No thanks! We tried to have them do the estimate last year. Actually went out there and talked to someone face-to-face. They collected all of our information and said that they would call us to set it up. A week later, no calls. So I called them. "Oh yeah, you're on our list. We'll be in touch soon." Another week goes by... nothing. Two weeks... nothing. We gave up, said maybe next year and we'll start early. Total waste of time, all the way around.

Awesome! I wanted to stock up on firewood before the impending snowstorm this weekend. This was on Wednesday. I was somewhat nervous just paying online without talking to anyone. I couldn’t believe that the very next day the wood was delivered exactly as I left in the instructions. Also, prices were reasonable. Very happy that I pulled the trigger and chose Himmel’s.

WE LOVE HIMMEL’S! We got all of our hydrangeas, lilac and perennials from Himmel’s along with bulk compost and mulch! Great prices on everything and a wonderful shopping experience! Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about gardening. Donna has been so kind every time we have visited. Their staff is not pushy and genuinely want to help. My favorite weekends are those spent at himmel’s.
