I want to start off by saying the staff here were wonderful 👏🏼 👏🏼 . Went in today for my first time specifically for their outdoor pot selection which was also great. I do a ton of outdoor gardening and we have a very large space so I have a decent amount of experience and shopped around a bit. Most 8ish inch pots ran $25 and in my opinion that was steep for some pretty basic plants. Secondly, a nursery should have a section for discounted items. Without it, there is a barrier for folks who might not be able to afford the standard pricing. This would ultimately bring in more foot traffic and bring additional happy customers. Regardless, the overall selection was good!
Lonnie and all the staff at Wilmore are friendly and helpful with all your house plant, gardening, and lawn care needs. And the selection is native to our challenging Colorado climate! I cannot recommend them enough.
My mom and I love coming here. They always have such a beautiful variety of everything you could ever want or need! Not to mention the wonderful service from all their employees :)
Visited Wilmore Nursery intending to purchase several plants and garden starts, but unfortunately the customer service fell far short of expectations. As novice gardeners, we came looking for guidance and were prepared to spend money to make the right choices. We asked three staff members for assistance, and aside from one very kind and helpful teenage employee, the adult staff members were unfriendly, dismissive, and uninterested in helping. The checkout experience was equally disappointing. The cashier seemed focused on getting customers through the line as quickly as possible rather than providing service. We had to ask about the plant warranty, and the explanation felt rushed. When we expressed interest in purchasing mulch, she told us, “Since the line is so long, you can always come back.” At that point, there were only a few people waiting and another cashier was already working. I had barely spent 30 seconds looking at the mulch samples before making my selection. What stood out most was the lack of engagement. We weren’t just browsing, we were customers actively looking to buy and seeking expert advice. For a local nursery, this felt like a significant missed opportunity. Better staffing, training, and a stronger focus on customer service would go a long way toward improving the experience.
They have such beautiful plants, garden accessories. Knowledgeable staff. If only I had loads of $ for all the amazing plants!
