Thrive Nursery - American Fork UT

Terrible customer service! We bought $300 of plants that died immediately. We brought them back and they said all their plants are final sale. Which is absolutely absurd, then they tried to say they were fine. When I said “If they’re fine then I want to exchange them for a different plant” both the male and female with the glasses said, “We can’t take these like this, we can’t resell them like this.” So then their statement indicated that the plants weren’t fine. Then they made the statement that all plants are final sale which isn’t written anywhere. Do yourself a favor, pay a little more and go to Lowe’s or Home Depot or any other Nursery where they guarantee their plants. Most places will only ask for a part of the root ball to warranty it. I did landscape work for 23 years, never had a place do business this poorly.

I had a really disappointing experience at this nursery. The selection was great but the staff completely ruined it. I live about two minutes away and noticed a tree similar to the kind I’m planning to plant—22 of them—in my backyard. We pulled in while driving by not realizing the nursery was closing in 10 minutes. As we were getting out of the car an employee immediately came up to me and said, “Do you know exactly what you want? Because we’re closing in 10 minutes.” The tone felt rude and unwelcoming. Because of that interaction I’ve decided not to consider them for our 22-tree project. It made what should have been an enjoyable visit feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I understand they were closing but we weren’t the only customers there and it could have been communicated more politely. I would have happily come back another time if the employee wouldn’t have been so insanely rude. Customer service matters and with a 3.9 rating largely due to poor service this place continues to miss the mark.

I love this place!!! Everything I have bought from here grows incredibly well!! Michelle is very kind & has gone above and beyond! She has given me soooo many tips & tricks on growing things, especially the stubborn hydrangeas. I have purchased 9 hydrangeas from them and they are all flourishing! The staff overall is very friendly. Love their set up. This nursery is superior to others I have been to in Utah county!!

There are several things I like about Thrive. I like that they send out a twenty percent off coupon monthly. Which is a huge help if you buying lots of plants. Which I do. I also like how they are sent up and the plant varieties are marked well so it is easy to find what you are looking for. I have also liked their prices and quality of plants over other nurseries. For example I was looking for hydrangea trees. Their prices were significantly lower and the tree was more mature and fuller than some of the other nurseries. I also like that they post new arrivals on Facebook. Some plants sell out super fast and I have been able to get notifications when plants are in and go get some for myself.
