Sun River Gardens - Orem UT

We love Sun River Gardens! We’ve been coming here for years and have zero plans to stop. We’ve purchased so many plants for our yard- a few Zelkova, Maple and hornbeam trees, a ton an iceberg roses, boxwoods and more. The quietly is awesome, especially compared to the big box stores, but even better than other nurseries. We’ve only had one tree die, and since we purchased their soil and plant starter kit, we got a warranty and they replaced it free of charge! We’ve also purchased a handful of indoor plants and succulents as well, along with home decor items and holiday decor. Pumpkins, Christmas trees, etc. The staff has always been super helpful and knowledgeable and we love coming back. Our kids love looking at the kids section and finding all the pretty plants inside and out. Especially on a cold winter day, it’s nice to come enjoy the beauty of all they have to offer!

UPDATE: Brianna, the manager, reached out to me and helped us come to a compromise that I was happy with. She was very kind and helpful. I came in to the store later and she talked with me and helped me with a treatment plan for my other rose trees and urged me multiple times to contact her if I needed any help or had questions. I am genuinely pleased with this outcome and the level of customer service they gave me and I’m now a happy camper! Original review: I purchased two rose trees from them last summer. After about a month, I noticed one of them had pretty aggressive black spot disease. The other one started dying slowly right after I planted it. I’m new to rose trees so I tried doing what I could to fix them. I just barely called to see what warranty they had and if they could help me since BOTH rose trees from them were diseased and now, one of them is completely dead and the other is fully diseased. They kindly told me to get bent, it’s only a 30 day return policy. They didn’t offer any kind of resolution or compromise. I will never buy anything from them and I urge others to really inspect whatever you buy from them and make sure you return it within the time frame.

I have been coming here for ten years. I go to nurseries all over Utah county and Sun River is consistently my favorite. It’s a whole experience. Every inch of the place is just so beautiful. I could spend hours there. Today I bought a David Austin roses and some annuals. There are always so many unique options for my garden here.

I can see why this nursery has so many good reviews! The energy was immediately welcoming/calm. The staff was friendly & helpful when we had questions. Great prices, very spacious setting with lots of fun finds like our cute pots! 100% our new go-to nursery. All of their plants looked so happy to be there - as were we!

We always get our Christmas trees here! Their Grands and Nobles are the best we've seen! It's refreshing to see such a variety. They also have stands and tree preservatives. The staff are very helpful and they really secured our the tree to our car.
