The Plant Kingdom - Louisville KY

Our local NuLu plant store. Great selection of houseplants and cute pots even in winter. Customer service is always *super* friendly & knowledgeable. These guys are above & beyond. The owner even delivered our Christmas tree to our apartment *himself*, so we wouldn't have to walk home with it. Last time I was there, a kind staff member helped me figure out the perfect kind of plant for my weird shaped pot (see pic) and it is doing great so far.

First, too expensive for quality. They DO NOT accept returns of any kind. I bought three expensive party balloon bulbs here for $30 and when they came up they were not what I planted. It was a bait and switch! They refused to give my money back even after they saw the pictures of the plants. Zero customer service. The customer is always wrong here. I’m so angry. In response to the owner’s response below. It’s all a lie. Those are NOT party balloons and they know it. I can tell the difference. These are small and different petals. My credit card will take care of it. These guys obviously don’t know the difference between alliums. There is a big problem difference between 8 inch blooms and two inches. Wrong allium. Also, my professional gardener also verified they are not party balloons allliums. 2nd response after their response. Again, they are lying. They could not tell the size of the allium by the picture. They barely looked at the picture and no I didn’t yell at anyone. In addition, they were sarcastic and condescending in the way they talked to me, so that’s the reason why I was upset. They didn’t have to treat me this way in order to try to avoid refunding my money.

A decent selection of very basic houseplants, and everything is very healthy. They do not carry specialty or rare houseplants and they cannot special order plants, they only get houseplants their distributor carries. Just be sure you understand their plant limitations before you buy someone something from here of a gift card. If you're searching for rare or specialty plants this is not the store for you.

What a great shop! Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice range of both indoor and outdoor plants. And a range of prices if you don't have a ton of money to spend. Lots of planter options--from basic and affordable to fun and unique. Nice selections of seeds and soils too. I really appreciate that some plants were labeled pet safe--especially since I have a cat who likes to sneak into off-limit rooms and chew on things! Wish there was a wider range of tools, but overall an excellent plant shop/garden store and I'll definitely be back.

Rude and dismissive. I was looking for something specific and when I made eye contact with the first associate she turned and walked away. I couldn't find anyone else outside so I asked inside and was told to ask outside. I said I couldn't find anyone. No attempt was made to use the walkie-talkie system to find someone for me. Note that it was NOT busy; I only saw one other customer. Take your business to Hess Landscaping; they couldn't be more friendly and helpful.
