Sunflower Orchards - Paola KS

What a lovely little place! The owners are so nice. There is a wide variety of apples and very full trees as of mid October. No entrance fee and you pay for apples by the pound. Our son loved riding in a complimentary wagon. There is a porta potty available and a few places to sit down in the orchard. No frills, laid back, great place. Definitely an annual tradition for our family!

Sunflower Orchards is my favorite place to get apples in the KC metro. There are several varieties to choose from and the apples are delicious! If you’re looking to pick fruit in a peaceful, gorgeous setting, this is definitely the place to go.

We had a wonderful time here. We got a reservation through Facebook and it was not very crowded even for a Saturday morning. Plenty of good apples to pick from and peaceful and quiet! Our two year old loved picking them and there were plenty within reach. The employees were so kind and there were ladders and wagons and baskets to use!

This place is a sanctuary...it's only open maybe one more weekend...If I'd only checked Google Maps on the weekends I would not have missed it for local orchards. A complete variety of apples to pick from without an upfront cost and you don't even have to walk far to be at multiple trees to choose from. I missed the blackberries and peaches... but I won't next year.

Wonderful place! Serene, peaceful, gorgeous and delicious!! So many packed full apple trees to pick from. Sarah was so nice to give us a walking tour and what to pick. Lovely experience!! No charge to pick- no crowds. Sweet customer service. Wholesome orchard. We will be back on the Farm Tour Weekend!
