Beautiful place to shop for plants and everything needed for your garden 🌿✨ From herbs and seeds to so many beautiful plants, they have almost everything here. Loved visiting this place! The plant prices were reasonable too, and it’s one large spot for all your gardening needs 🌱🪴 One thing that especially interested me was checking for a vegetable called “gangavalli kura” from India. One of my friends mentioned they found it here, and that was actually the main reason I visited. I was looking for the plant, and I did find one variety, but it wasn’t exactly what I was searching for. In English, it’s called “purslane,” which many Americans consider a weed, but for us in India, it’s a very healthy leafy vegetable often cooked with lentils and enjoyed for its health benefits 🌿💚 The one I found here had more of a golden yellow-green color, so I skipped buying it this time. Still, I was honestly surprised to see so many varieties from different parts of the world. It’s such a great place to check if you miss vegetables or plants from your home country 🌎✨ Great job, Russell’s! Also, the staff everywhere were very friendly and helpful 😊❤️
Russell’s Garden Center sits along Route 20 in Wayland, a longtime stop for gardeners and home growers across MetroWest. What looks like a modern retail space today is actually part of a business with roots stretching deep into Massachusetts agricultural history. Founded in 1876, Russell’s began as a family-run farm and gradually evolved into one of New England’s best-known garden centers. Over generations, it expanded from produce and nursery stock into a full-service destination offering annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, houseplants, and seasonal displays. Beyond plants, Russell’s reflects how traditional New England farms adapted to suburban growth while staying locally owned. Its scale, plant selection, and year-round operation make it both a working nursery and a regional landmark for gardeners who return season after season. #russellsgardencenter #waylandma #shoplocal #newenglandgardens #gardenhistory #massachusettslife
Russel's is our go-to place for all things plant-related. Whether it's houseplants and supplies or bushes, perennials, and annuals for the yard, you can count on top quality and tons of variety. They also have a cute gift shop section and add to the community in both the winter and summer with weekly farmers' markets, bringing together produce, baked goods, prepared meals, and more. We have been repeat customers for years and will happily continue to be!
Awesome local business with massive selection of everything you can possibly want in your garden including shade perennials, native plants. Allow for more time than initially planned to navigate rows and rows of perennials, trees, shrubs or multiple green houses of annual. Prices are fair - slightly higher than Home depo but defintely cheaper than other "farm" stores and plants are healthy and perform well. I appreciate their knowledgeable and friendly staff members who actually want to help people - there is even an information desk at the main building .Love checking out their roses and small koi pond.
This place has everything. And I mean everything. The pot selection was amazing, we got a beautiful hanging pot and several varieties of sage. I could’ve wandered around this place for hours. Bonus- the winter farmers market is adorable and has a ton of vendors- definitely worth a visit
