Milmont Greenhouses - Waynesboro VA

I simply must extol the virtues of a most delightful excursion to Milmont Greenhouses, where I had the distinct pleasure of encountering the incomparable Jeanine. Having been utterly transfixed by a collection of blue and white chinoiserie porcelain planters—each more breathtaking than the last—I found myself in need of guidance. Enter Jeanine, a paragon of attentiveness and grace. With an air of effortless generosity, she made herself wholly available to address my every inquiry, offering insight and assistance with a level of care that felt both rare and deeply appreciated. Never once did I feel hurried—only warmly ushered through a most enchanting selection. As fate would have it, I had originally been en route to those cavernous big box garden emporiums (which I am endeavoring to excise from my personal ethos), when a neighbor—bless them—redirected me to this local gem. And oh, what a fortuitous redirection it was. In a charming twist, I even encountered a former UVA student who confided that she still drives across the mountain to this veritable haven—her “happy place”—whenever she finds herself in need of a new botanical companion. One simply cannot argue with such devotion. Supporting local establishments is a principle I hold in the highest regard, and experiences such as this only reaffirm its importance. My sincerest thanks to you, Jeanine, for elevating what might have been a simple errand into a truly memorable affair.

Lots of nice plants here. Tropical, annual, and perennial. I drive 2 hours to always check out there plants every season so you know its good!

I love this place! They have so much to choose from. I'm into house plants and their selection is amazing! 🪴 Lots of pots and planters, all shapes and sizes. They have small pots (2"- 3") which are often hard to find. There is even more of a selection of outside plants, flowers, trees and bushes. Worth th drive! Closed Sundays.

This is one of the most well stocked greenhouses I have ever been to. I love the view of the moutains in front of the store and they had an absolutely beautiful cat. This is the best greenhouse. I hope to be able to make a trip back in a few weeks.

Excellent selection and very helpful/friendly employees. In addition to a wide array of flowers, flower baskets, veggie plants, fruit trees, and herb plants in a range of sizes they also have any gardening needs such as a variety of pots, bulk soil, etc.. AND there are some very cute goats!!
