Reviews
I rarely leave negative reviews because I truly love supporting local businesses, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I specifically explained that I have a patio without a water faucet and needed heat-resistant plants that would not require frequent watering. Based on the guidance I received, I spent nearly $200 on plants that unfortunately were not suited for those conditions. Most of the plants have since died, and when I called to see if I could exchange some of them, I was told the policy only allows exchanges within three days. As someone who has sent this business a lot of referrals and support, I was really disappointed by both the recommendations and the lack of flexibility afterward. I would just encourage others to do their own research as well and be cautious when relying on guidance for specific plant needs.
My oldest daughter loves plants and has a vast collection. While visiting Charleston, she discovered Meeting Green, and we stopped by. What an incredible store!! It was fun to walk through it with her, and she talked about all the different varieties. Plus, the staff is friendly and desires to help.
This cute little plant shop is close to the breweries. Lots of plants and pots. I was surprised to see rarer plants like Monstera Peru and Rhaphidophora Korthalsii here. Other than that, they also have the more common types like pothos varities, fiddle fig, bird of paradise, Calatheas, Monsteras, philodendrons, snake plants, ZZs, Rubber plants, Corn plants, Ferns, etc. I didnt pay a lot of attention to the prices, but whatever i looked at was priced reasonably.
This place is earth shatteringly beautiful and the variety they consistently have is out of control. I am a major tropical plant aficionado and collector, and they have an entire greenhouse dedicated to wonderful tropicals. The prices are not too bad either. They have even more varieties of outdoor plants, stunning elephant ears and coneflowers. They have a little indoor shop in the back with lots of snake plants, cacti, adorable trellises, and beautiful pots. This is probably my favorite nursery in Charleston, tied with hyams!
Meeting Green is the BEST plant shop/nursery in Charleston! The staff is friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and very helpful. They offer a wide variety of rare and common plants at an affordable rate. Highly recommend for all your plant shopping needs. I guarantee you will leave with a plant you will love!
