Horsford Gardens and Nursery - Charlotte VT

We have purchased many mature native trees, shrubs and other perreinal plants there over the years. Much of their products are grown on site so you are purchasing plants and trees that know how to live in Vermont. With as many trees and shrubs as we have purchased there are bound to be an occasional failure. If it falls within their parameters (trees were watered adequately after planting) and it fails because of the product, they are very accommodating. In short, they are good people, with good product and excellent planting services.

This historic site not only has a great selection of Vermont-tested plants, but a beautiful location to be inspired by them all.

I had a great experience at Horsford Gardens and Nursery. The selection is impressive, with a wide variety of healthy plants, flowers, and gardening supplies to choose from. What really stood out was the staff—they’re friendly, approachable, and truly knowledgeable. They took the time to answer my questions and offered helpful advice without making me feel rushed. It’s a welcoming place whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Beautiful nursery tucked away right off of rt 7. They have a huge variety of plants and a very knowledgeable staff who are willing to help whenever they can. I will definitely be bringing my family up to visit!!

This is one of my favorite garden centers in the eastern seaboard. I live in Erie pa. But, make at least one trip a year to come check out this garden center. My car stops at garden centers and antique stores. Every year I find a few new perennials for my gardens. The setting is wonderful, the gardens are great, the staff always appear to love what they do and are always very helpful.
