Heider's Berry Farm - Woodstock IL

What a fun and wonderful experience picking berries at this fabulous farm! 5 of us city dwellers chose Heider’s Berry Farm based on reviews when compared to other farms that offered berry picking, and they were the perfect choice. There weren’t many other customers and we had a delightful time! We picked raspberries and strawberries and also purchased additional already picked veggies including zucchini, cucumbers and eggplant. We thoroughly enjoyed the picking process and everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff was kind, polite and knowledgeable and we had the honor of meeting and chatting with Mrs. Heider who shared the history of the family owned farm and even took our group photo! I highly recommend Heider’s Berry Farm for a great experience with berries to take home!

What a cute little farm to spend a few hours! I came mid-June for a quick afternoon of strawberry picking, and I believe it was shortly after the initial strawberry rush, but I had no problems filling up my basket with the most fragrant and delicious strawberries ever! The staff was great and incredibly helpful! I didn't make it back for the raspberries, but they also have those beginning in July!

BEST U-PICK! We had so much fun at the farm. The farm does offer raspberry, strawberry and some veggie picking. We went on a hot summer afternoon. Despite the harsh weather we had so much fun picking raspberries. There was almost no wait for purchasing the basket for U-pick. The ladies at the ticket office were friendly and polite. They do offer some merchandise for purchase.

Oh... my God! 😁 We went here about a month or two ago. I have never picked a strawberry before in my life, this was an amazing experience! I could not stop smiling in the strawberry field & I was in such a state of extreme happiness & satisfaction, it was UNREAL! I've had a few other experiences in my life like this where it was such a unique experience involving the weather that day, the people with & around me, the colors, sights, sounds, & smells in that area & it felt like I was on another planet or something. A once in a lifetime type experience. We found ourselves completely alone in the strawberry field on a really nice & bright sunny day. We went towards the end of the strawberry season so we really had to hunt for them but that added to the fun! The raspberries from here... 😁 Thank you for offering the purple ones 💜 God bless you! I had plans to go again a few weeks after this but something came up with somebody's schedule or something, I don't remember, & we couldn't go & I just wanted to cry! 🤣 I really hope to come see you again next spring & summer.

Great place for picking your own berries - they have 🍓,black and red raspberries. I don't know if anything else. They will tell you where to go to pick up ripped berries. And if you don't have to time to pick berries, you can buy pre-picked. Also, kids can go and take a look at the hens and the 🐓roosters. I liked the big tree with the benches where you can enjoy some shade and a lunch. They sell ice cream which was a nice surprise to us🍦Nice and kind people. Thank you, we'll come back again!
