Gopher Glen Organic Apple Farm - San Luis Obispo CA

This apple farm is worth driving to. This is a store full of products made mostly by them. Of course they have lots a different types of apples that you can buy in paper bags and enjoy. We got 4 different types of apples and they were all very fresh as though they were just picked. We also bought honey in a bottle also great fresh honey. Your kids will also enjoy seeing some chicken in a cage kinda fun for them. The drive up to the apple farm is also nice and we saw a fee deer on our drive up. Overall, a great place to visit if you’re driving by on a trip.

Way down a rural road, we lost cell signal, but well worth it. Great for early elementary age kids. They let us sample several apples, a few pears and their cider. They have a couple rows of trees you can self-tour through in the back. Only a single restroom, so FYI if you're with a larger group, but it was kept very clean.

A visit to this place is classic for fall on the Central Coast. They grow an amazing variety of heritage apples that you cannot find anywhere else. They do Apple tasting daily. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Very sweet little shop with a nice variety of local products. Don't miss their fresh preshed cider. And they carry Cal Poly cheeses. It's the perfect place to create a little picnic that you can take to Avila Beach.
