Lucy the cat was the highlight of our visit. We went to get some indoor plants, and found a monstera which was reasonably priced- around $20. There were a lot of cool outdoor paths that were very ornate. The venue was beautifully decorated and there was a lot of beauty to behold. Would recommend this place highly if you’re looking to buy plants or landscaping materials in Indianapolis.
I recently hosted a birthday party for 50+ guests of all ages at Digs Garden Center, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the team at Digs was incredibly helpful, easy to communicate with, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They provided a detailed walkthrough of the event space and a useful checklist, which made planning smooth and stress-free. The layout is incredibly flexible. We could easily arrange both the indoor and outdoor spaces to fit our needs, making it a great venue regardless of weather. The indoor space has a warm, rustic ambiance that features wood accents, exposed wooden beams, lush green plants, and a large farmhouse style table. The outdoor space has cocktail style tables, as well as longer family style seating, string lights overhead, and is decorated with the garden center's seasonal flowers. If you're looking to work with generous, helpful people and for a picturesque and hassle-free setting, I highly recommend renting Digs Garden Center for your next event!
Found this gem of a nursery today! My daughter and I got some baby strawberry plants and flowers to decorate our front entryway planters. Super welcoming staff. Not overbearing but available when needed. We will be back for those tall tomato plants! EDIT: I just uploaded a progress on my pretty front planters that have already completely filled in and look amazing. All I did was add a little bit of miracle grow fertilizer to the organic soil that I got at digs and I’ve let nature take care of them! Strawberries are still alive and doing well I picked off all the strawberries that were already on there so they would sprout new shoots and they are doing exactly what I wanted them to do!
We just had our wedding reception here, and I cannot say enough good things about DIGS! It was the perfect place for us to celebrate with our friends and family. The ambiance is eclectic and fun, and when the sun goes down the feeling is warm and inviting. Do not let the location to the highway turn you away- once the evening hits, traffic lessens and the sound is drowned out by guests and music. It's very kid friendly, as there's plenty of space for them to run around and explore. We didn't have too many kids at our reception, but the ones that were there were fully occupied with their surroundings. Parking is very ample- we had about 75 guests and there was plenty of parking right outside of DIGS. There's 2 brand new restrooms inside for guest use- they were nice and clean. Employees and Karen (the event and marketing director there) are friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Special shout out to Lucy, the in-house cat who works hard doing pest control. She made an appearance at our reception, and was a big favorite with our guests. If you are looking for an outdoor venue for your reception (or event), I cannot recommend DIGS enough. I believe they have plans on expanding to offer food and drink, as well as an indoor event space. So if outdoor isn't your vibe, keep your eyes peeled on their development. Thank you, DIGS! (and Lucy).
This is a nice place to get plants. The prices for plants are spot on with some of the bigger chains. This makes it easier to support a small locally owned business. Digs is owned & on site by HEATH OUTDOOR & TRUE NORTH. They even offered to transport, deliver & plants purchased items. They had everything from, Japanese Maple Trees, Maple Trees, Bushes, Vegetable Starts, et al…
