Was not impressed with this place, actually very disappointed. We picked and bagged our own apples (this was okay). But pick your own pumpkins was pretty much pick out a pumpkin. They weren’t in the field to pick off the stem. There were a couple of spots where they were just loose. Prices were too high. The bounce house was all wet and full of mulch. No hay ride because of a 70 kid school field trip. No cups of cider hot or cold. You could purchase food to feed goats and mini horses.

Third consecutive year of attending Haunted Overload but the first time doing the Fright Night Light. Love that they have this option available without the actors because we have a younger child. And maybe because I might also be scared 😳 This is a MUST VISIT Halloween attraction. During the day walk, you can see the architecture and design better. But the night walk is EPIC!! The pictures don't justify the scale of the structures but it was so cool. Even better to end the visit at their farm store. They had an awesome chocolate covered marshmallow that looked like a mummy and orange chocolate pumpkin shared pops. Plus a ton of baked goods (including many gluten free options) and their apple cider is probably the best over ever had. Have I convinced you yet to go??

Hands down the best apple cider donut I've ever had. The farm was stunning, the employees were wonderfully pleasant, and the prices were so reasonable. DeMeritt Hill Farm reminds you that not all farms are there to price-gouge! The hayride was $2 per person, bouncy house was free. Also, the grounds were so well maintained. The apple orchard was very large and beautiful. We also discovered some walking trails, a few ponds, and some Christmas trees off in the distance! I can tell this is a well-loved farm - owners, employees, and public. We will be making this farm a Fall tradition!

We've lived near this farm for years and it's always been at least an annual event for the whole family to go apple picking here. We've also noticed over the years that they are adding events through different seasons and other parts of the property that you wouldn't see if you were just apple picking. They have hosted cross country meets, a travelling disc golf course, craft fairs, and many other things. Oh, if you haven't been to to Haunted Overload it's worth the trip! I think they've done a great job with keeping the farm clean and up to date which makes it easier to bring the whole family to enjoy the property. We'll be going back often!

I was reading the Hippo 🦛Press 📰 newspaper and came across an article about fall festivals. My friend and I decided to come to this farm. I've driven by sooo many times! We, my friend and kids and I, had fun! The tractor 🚜 ride, my daughter's fave, Dinosaur 🦕 Trail, my son's fave, apple 🍎 orchards, doughnuts, friendly animals and staff, pumpkin picking, my friend wanted to buy a pumpkin for her grandson, and great 👍 scenery and views, my favorite! The view while riding the tractor 🚜 was great 👍! I never knew there was so much to see 🙈. We went to the Harvest Weekend and had a great 👍 time. Free 🆓 parking 🅿️. Bathrooms were in good condition and had a baby 🍼 changing table. Update: November 2024; The annual "Haunted Overload" for the first time. It was okay. There was a lot of effort put into this theme park and the staff and actors were both helpful and good at their jobs. The big issue was the long line to get in! It took a while to get to the part of the trail with the "jump scares". That is where the pace picked up. Actors in costume entertained people while we waited. There wasn't gore but there were plenty of spooky decorations and the actors were good at imitating statues, until you got too close! Plenty of parking 🅿️ and it is organized. A few people complained about how the pedestrian 🚸 traffic was managed but I had no issues. There were lines for the porta potties. Prices for this event were reasonable. It is popular so expect long lines. Dress for the cold 🥶. I recommend a visit to this farm.
