Cliff Avenue Greenhouse & Garden Center - Sioux Falls SD

So many colorful flowers and decorative garden items. This place has everything you need. The environment is beautiful and feels so peaceful. The only downside is I could easily spend all of my money because I want everything.

I love cliff Ave greenhouse. The plants and trees are in good health and the shop is full of treasures you have to have. They are a little spendy compared to home depot, ace, etc. But generally worth it. The employees were super helpful also. The one thing that I don't care for is the fact you don't get your card stamped when you purchase a gift certificate or when you spend the certificate. There should be a rule where you get your card stamped at time of purchase OR time of use. I understand not doing both but should be at least once. That is my one complaint...I'm cheap and want my card stamped 😆

Apparently this greenhouse believes their responsibility ends the moment you walk out the door. I purchased four plants — two were dead within a week. When I contacted them, I was basically told “too bad.” Plants die sometimes, sure but two out of four plants dying in under a week points to poor plant health before they were sold. The real issue though, was the response. The customer service was dismissive and made it very clear that once they had my money, they didn’t care. No concern, no troubleshooting, no attempt to stand behind the quality of what they sell.

Stopped in right after I moved to Sioux Falls. They definitely had a diverse selection of houseplants, pots, and everything you would need as a gardener. Half of the store also has home décor, clothes, and some toiletries. Very cool place! The cute pup that's there also makes it extra special 🙂

The building and selection of pottery are cute! Unfortunately most of the plants I looked at had mealy bugs! The selection is decent but I would not purchase a plant from here because then I would have to worry about bringing home a ton of pests! I work at a nursery in MT and I know mealy can be hard to get rid of, but you have to quarantine and treat with multiple styles of pesticides. Tricky but doable, so to see the infestation this bad was disappointing.
