Cayford Orchards - Skowhegan ME

Huge variety of apples in local products made from them. We stop here every year to get local striped Macs. Way better flavor than supermarket apples, and the atmosphere of this family-run business is always a treat.

My family and I stopped by on a weekend getaway and had such a good time. My daughter (5) really enjoyed herself and loved looking for the ribbons hanging off the trees with ripe apples. It was such a good easy set up to find different types of apples. The location was so peaceful and beautiful all around. The gentleman working let us know he’s 6th generation there at the orchard which just made everything even better. The best part? We bought 3 types of apples and all are absolutely delicious!

Very pleasent couple run this family owned orchard. Very clean and organized. Nice place for families to go apple picking.

Lovely orchard, and absolutely delicious apples. I found the prices fair, and their Cortlands are sweet as candy. Only critique I'd give is parking. It was extremely challenging to make the tiny lot work, and people were getting pretty road-ragey behind me as we all tried to squish in. I think as an orchard getting so much attention and people traveling far to visit, it needs a lot more parking space! Not taking a star off, that was a tiny part of our experience. Overall a wonderful trip.
