Barton Nurseries - Edison NJ

First time here today! We purchased beautiful Norwegian Spruce trees! Service was excellent! Marty was great! He took us on a ride and explained to us all about different types . Also, great price compared to other places. We will definitely be back!

If I could give this place -100 stars I would. I just called to ask a question about their services and followed THEIR automated system and pressed 3 to have them call me back with the number that THEIR Machine repeated back to me to confirm, which I did confirm. It said they would call back when they were available. I called at 4:07pm and Google says they're open until 5 pm. Immediately I received a call and said, "Hello?" The man on the other end said, "you keep calling me 100 times and you don't just leave a message on the machine to tell me to call you back on your number, and by the way we're closed. Okay we're closed!" And this man hung up on me without me saying a word. I called twice because I thought I pressed the incorrect option for what I needed. No big deal. It's an automatic system! God knows I place my trust in him and I won't deal with this company or send anyone else that way. If this is how they treat a person calling to ask a simple question, which he didn't even get to before rudely hanging up on me, then I wouldn't want to EVER do business with them and neither should anyone else. If they were closed an hour earlier than their Google contact hours said, the smart thing to do would've been to... Call me back when you were open and available to speak. You know, like your automated system said you would do in the first place. Calling back with an attitude, angry at a potential customer you didn't even know what they wanted did nothing but block your blessing. I hope you take this into consideration next time you pick up the phone to speak to anyone. And I don't remove reviews, so don't even ask.

The shrubs and plants are healthy and survive! I’m a return customer. The junipers I planted 3 years ago are doing well with minimal work. The staff are very friendly and helpful and will bring your selection to the car and load it for you! I bought cat mint and lavender the other day, and I am going back now for regular mint. The cats went straight for it and purred up a storm! So, it turns out that they don’t sell herbs, and directed me to Coppola’s down the same street, also a lovely garden center where I have shopped many times purchasing food plants for a coworker.
