My wife wanted to get me succulents for a gift. They totally sold her sick plants the looked awful. They gave no advice on how to maintain the plants either. Not very helpful nor very knowledgeable which is a shame.
Incredible plant store! Exactly what you expect when you think “mountain town” plant store. The owner is very nice and has fair prices. The selection was decent for the space. The highlight was definitely how beautiful the natural light is in the space!
We went to Alpine Gardens a year ago not knowing what plants to choose for a new landscape area in front of our home. They helped us choose all of the plants. A year later and everything looks fantastic! Really appreciate the personalized support we received.
Nice place. Houseplants inside the building, perennials and annuals outside. View of the Blue River from the back. Plants happened to be on sale at end of July so I bought some to take home to Chicago as my Colorado trip “souvenir”: the gift that keeps on giving! I also bought a few small houseplants that I thought would transport well in a packed car. Their perennial section represented an Alpine garden well, I thought. It’s also nice to tour the grounds to see the variety of plants at maturity that you can likely purchase from them. Their seed selection was slim but I found a few packets I liked. Nice employee answered all our questions and talked with customers as she tended to plants indoors and out.
What a wonderful place to stumble upon today. Not only did I find many unique plants I've not seen anywhere else, but there are some plants there for sale that are quite old and established, and at fantastic prices! Besides that, the greenhouses and perennials were all beautiful and healthy, and the atmosphere was rich, lush, welcoming, and very peaceful; it was almost like stepping into a magical garden right off of the road. They offered an extremely comprehensive and well-rounded selection of nutrients, including mycorrhizae and beneficial bacteria, kelp, horticultural charcoal, soils/amendments, and gardening tools and pots as well! This plant haven also specializes in floral arrangements and custom planting installations, and all of the ones I saw were expertly done and evidently quite popular. To top off a wonderful experience, all of the the employees and the owner, Sherie, were so welcoming and pleasant; it was obviously a place they all felt blessed to be tending. I bought four plants, and I'll be coming back for more soon! Oh, and if you're heading west, this is truthfully one of the last good nurseries/plant shops west of Denver, so don't forget to stop in!
