We went to Aloun Farms for the Fall Festival this year and overall had a nice time! It was great that the event was dog friendly — we brought our pup along and she loved exploring. The decorations were cute and festive, and the staff we interacted with were all friendly and welcoming. It was definitely crowded and a bit overwhelming, so we only stayed for about an hour. It was also really hot, which made it tough for both us and our dog. We walked around, grabbed some food, checked out the sunflowers and pumpkin patch, and then stopped by the farmers market store before heading out. The store service was quick, but one moment stood out — a young boy was trying his best to help us and do the math for our items when another staff member suddenly took over and told him, “You’re going to the side. You’re way too slow.” It felt a little uncomfortable to witness, since the boy was clearly trying his best. I understand things can get busy, but it just didn’t feel right to scold him in front of customers. Despite that, the festival itself was fun, the food and produce were great, and it’s always nice to see local families and pets enjoying the day. We’ll probably go again — maybe earlier in the morning next time when it’s less crowded and cooler.
Aloun Farms is a wonderful place to shop for fresh, local produce, especially during the seasons when they’re open. Everything we picked up was high quality, fresh, and clearly grown with care. Since it’s seasonal, it feels even more special when they’re open, a great opportunity to support local farming and enjoy produce at its best. The staff is friendly, and the overall experience is simple and pleasant. If you’re looking for locally grown fruits and vegetables on Oʻahu, Aloun Farms is absolutely worth a stop when they’re in season.
Beautiful island farm that puts on an outstanding fall festival every year. Lots of things to do here on a day trip. They have a greenbean field, sunflower field, pumpkins etc. There is a festival grounds on the farm for the fall fest with various vendors and rides. The fall festival is $5 per person and 2 year olds and below is free. Overall, my family had a great time!
The hayride is waste time, nothing good to see. only it take you to the other stop for pick up pumpkin. They have vendors, but the food is expensive I be honest. Pumpkins and vegetables good price. entertainment, some dancing and music General admission $5 per person.
My sister and brother-in-law live nearby and they've been coming here for corn-picking for the last 7 years or so. This year, my visit finally aligned with corn-picking season, so we decided to go on the second Sunday (I believe it's only available for the last three weekends of October). Apparently, there used to be no limit as to how many ears of corn you could pick. As long as you could fit it in your bucket, unshucked, then it was yours. This year, they capped it at 40. On top of that, the corns were very skinny this year (according to the sis). She said they're normally double the size and it seemed like the corn this year weren't quite ready for picking yet. Admission is $3 per person, and I believe the bucket is $18, so the corn won't be as cheap as it is at a supermarket (especially not with the cap). But, it's a fun and unique experience. I've never been corn-picking before, only apple-picking. It gets really hot out in the field though, and you should definitely expect to get dirty. There's a pumpkin patch that you can take photos with, but you can't pick the pumpkins from it. Instead, the pumpkins you can purchase are all in a cardboard bin. Also for purchase are some other fruits and veggies at this little farmer's market they have by the entrance. I think this was more of a one-time experience for me, but I would recommend it to anyone who has never been.
