Whitaker Farms & Garden Nursery [The Farm] - Climax NC

My experience here was amazing! ADA friendly! Great selection of well taken care of plants! Great food and coffee and so much to offer in their store! Great place to check out!!! Will keep coming back!

It's a nice place, great for little kids 3-10 maybe best suited. They have different areas and sections. A jumping pillow. Big tunnel slides. Sandbox. Volleyball area. Multiple different picture opportunities! A short hayride. A barn with a cute little story about the cow dating the horse. Great mini doughnuts (try the cinnamon!), apple cider slushy was so good too!) And more!

We came for the food truck festival and what a great host! So much good food and drinks! We came for the 50th anniversary and they did not disappoint let me tell you it was so much fun for all ages. If it wasn't the 50th anniversary this farm is so much more... There's a market with fresh produce and oh my gosh the strawberries are delicious. We picked up a bunch of different fruits and vegetables and even some of their bakery goods so I'm really excited for dinner when we do a tasting of the different little pies that they have. Their staff is very knowledgeable and Waylean was so helpful with helping me move forward with my plan for my yard and for additional plants .... So many choices it's overwhelming and they are there to help you.

I visited Whitaker Farms with my family. We enjoyed visiting the garden center and dreaming about landscaping and gardening. Then we enjoyed a nice lunch by the koi pond followed by some delicious fresh soft serve strawberry ice cream. There's a great kid Zone here that looked like a lot of fun. I would recommend a visit even if you don't Garden

My sister, mom and I visited the Whitaker farm in Climax, NC on a sunny day in August 2023. What a treat! The grounds are well kept and beautiful including a pond beside the farm store. The store had lots of produce and gift items to choose from. There is also a bakery selling fresh baked goods and ice cream as well. The greenhouses were well stocked and included many garden gift items. The day we visited there was a great sale on most of the potted plants. While many things were a little pricey, there were some great deals as well. I’m willing to pay a little more to support local family businesses that provide high quality products and services. The staff at Whittaker farm were so friendly and helpful without being intrusive while we browsed. My favorite purchases were a variegated double blossom Rose of Sharon and a jar of Screaming Hornet Salsa! Five stars for the GREAT customer service and a fun experience that we shared.
