Village Green Nursery and Landscape - Bardstown KY

Stopped in at Village Green to check out their plants. They have a large selection of seasonal plants and trees, with a few succulents and houseplants scattered through the outdoor nursery. Inside, there are some seeds and lawn care products. Unfortunately, the person behind the counter was busy on her phone and chatting with another customer — never asked if I needed help or even looked up. I wasn’t very impressed with the selection overall, and the lack of customer service sealed it. I left without buying anything.

They did my “spring clean up” this year & I couldn’t be more pleased! Trimmed some trees, plus an area of rug juniper, Preened everything, put down 3 scoops of mulch, picked up & hauled away everything, & put down another layer of Preen then blew mulch off the sidewalk/steps!! Aidan was amazing!! Super friendly and worked for hours!! Anne in the office was super friendly too!! Very satisfied!!

I will NEVER shop here again. Called asking for a price for Rick and told they were open until 3:00pm. Drove an hour to get there, arrived at 2:00pm and everything was locked up. So unprofessional.

Requested a quote for a small landscaping job. Lady was super nice. Told her what I wanted. She had me send pictures, but didn’t come out and measure or anything (I live less than 2 miles away) A week later I hadn’t heard a peep from them so I emailed/text. They send me a single picture, no quote. It’s Thursday and they tell me they will be out for the weekend and will be back on Monday. I write back and ask where the quote was. They send a quote and it references a second picture. I tell them I only received one picture and ask what they were referencing. I also notice in the quote they put mulch, and we had specifically already spoke about river rock. I also thought their design was a little overboard for someone who specifically told them they need low maintenance (17 plants in 18 foot space) and asked if we could take some out. It’s been 8 days and no response. Guess they didn’t want our business. Highly disorganized and unprofessional. We went with MVP instead.
