Thistledown Farm - Junction City OR

Oh wow, that white flesh peach is so juicy and sweet! This place is just a fantastic local farm that you should enjoy. Their produce is excellent and it's really important to support your local farmers! They always have great pumpkin patch rides in the fall. We just picked up a yellow flesh watermelon too and it's something you should try if you've never, good eats for sure. Really like the old farm feel of this place. Beautiful!

Me and my family had a lovely time at Thistledown Farm. We really enjoyed petting the goats, exploring the hay maze, playing on the toy train, and seeing all the beautiful plants around the farm. It was a fun and memorable family outing. One downside was the strict no-sampling policy for the strawberries. While we were checking out and about to pay for a flat of strawberries along with other vegetables and items, an employee kind of scolded us for trying a couple or strawberries. It came across as odd and a bit overbearing, especially since we were literally purchasing the fruit at that moment. It unfortunately dampened the overall experience a little. My recommendation would be to have a small sampling bowl available, or at least approach situations like that with a little more friendliness and flexibility. Overall though, we still had a great time and appreciated everything the farm has to offer.

Thistledown Farm is always a great choice for fresh produce as well as plants for your garden and hanging flower baskets for your pleasure. If you've never been in, make sure to stop by next time you drive by and see what you're missing. If the animals out back are available to see, go say hi (even if you have no "children" to make it seem less weird... it's not weird to hang out and chat with farm animals. I mean, it may be weird to everyone else, but not to you, my friend 😉 )

At Thistledown Farm, you can find a delightful array of locally grown, fresh vegetables and fruits that are bursting with flavor. Their strawberries, in particular, are exceptionally sweet and juicy, making them a must-try for fruit enthusiasts. I wholeheartedly recommend supporting these dedicated local farmers for their outstanding produce, as they consistently provide top-quality, delicious offerings.

I love supporting anywhere local and I'm so happy that Thistledown makes it easy to do so! It's so so cute and they have so much fun stuff! This spring (April 2022), they have a lot of indoor and outdoor plants already - hanging baskets, begonias, elephant ears, vegetable and herb starts, coleus, planters, yard and garden decor and more!
