Pick your own fruit, walk or drive through the orchards of peaches, apples, blueberries and others during their varied seasons. You can phone the night before and connect to a recording announcing (for the next day) which fruit is currently in season, the hours they will be open and price expected to pay. No more fruit that tastes like styrofoam. In South Arkansas but worth the drive. Very rare to find a place to get fruit that tastes like you dreamed it would.
The place has definitely changed since years past—his wife has passed away, and the playground and larger area are no longer part of the experience. That said, the owner was kind. We enjoyed picking some blueberries during our visit. He mentioned that he posts updates about what's available (blueberries, blackberries, and Red Haven peaches) on Sylvia S Reddin's Facebook page, so that’s the best place to check before coming. Also important: if you're heading there, the correct location is off Highway 274. The Google address isn't accurate anymore since things have shifted to a small roadside stand. We’ll definitely go back for blackberries later in the season.
Saw the sign in town while passing through and they were thankfully open for fruit picking for another 40 minutes. We left with blackberries, plums, and happy kids.
It's my summer tradition to visit the fruit farm. The blueberries and blackberries are large and taste so good. The fruit stand helpers are very friendly.
We took a trip to Suzanne's with our Granddaughters class. The entire trip was enjoyable. The kids got to zip line, ferry boat, mazes, bounce, playhouses, slides, nature trail, hay rides, train rides and water games. The picnic area was covered and clean with picnic benches. The porta potties were the cleanest I've ever been in. There was ample areas for the adults to sit when desired. I'm excited for the spring to go back to pick fruit!
