Sprague's Nursery & Garden Center - Bangor ME

They have beautiful plants and I love to visit! But, last season I bought some cone flower perennials and they came back this season as Mustard plant. Not what I was expecting. The weed took over and killed the cone flower. Bummer. My loss. Now I have weeds I never had before.

Sprague’s has a great variety of trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials well suited for the area. We just purchased quite a few shrubs and trees with their current sale and are really pleased with our selection. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable as well, it’s an all around pleasant experience for purchasing plants!

Wow! This place is a gardeners dream! Huge selection, arranged in sections so its easy to find what you need. The staff is super helpful and large carts are available to load up on plants. Prices seem to be in line with any big box garden center prices - which is saying something because the quality and selection trumps them all. I will definitely be returning and do all my plant/veggie/shrub/herb/flower/fruit tree shopping here in the future. If you are in the Bangor area, it's worth stopping by. There's also a waterwheel and chickens! A+++

Spragues is a great shop, however I was driving home and after getting passed by an employee in a turning lane, I was flipped off 3 times by the employee in a blue car, only knowing they worked there because they pulled into the nursery across the road while flipping me off again. Hopefully they don’t work in the main store. I don’t think I’ll return for awhile after that

The place to go for plantings where you're supporting the local economy! Hannah was incredibly helpful in assisting us in selecting plants for indirect lighting conditions. Long time customer who will definitely be returning!
