Porter Farms & Nursery Farm Market - Raleigh NC

The third time is the charm. We came on a Monday morning after presumably a busy weekend, because the other two farms we stopped by before this one were not offering pick their own. The owner wasn’t sure we would even find a bucket’s worth and kindly offered to charge us for half a bucket if we didn’t find enough ripe strawberries. We easily found plenty of beautiful, sun-ripened berries and we had the whole field to ourselves. These are the best tasting strawberries we’ve ever had. Thank you, we’ll be back!

I've been coming here for years! I've lived in the area all my life. Came with the grandkids and they were handing out buckets to people knowing there were no strawberries to pick. That is just not right. A lot of people were very disappointed. The field was picked over. And on top of that there was a very rude young lady that cared more about threatening everyone that she was going to charge them extra if they overfilled their bucket than helping them get strawberries. I've had many good experiences but a couple of bad ones over the years.

A great place to share with the family. We chose to go a little late and found good portions of strawberries. I recommend arriving early because it can be warmer.

Delicious strawberries! The Willow Springs location does offer more for the kids so we will go there in the future.
