I can’t believe I ever bought a single plant anywhere else! Keep in mind that the photos I posted show the selection on labor day weekend (the very end of the season). My housemate and I were having trouble finding perennial grasses anywhere this late in the season. Somebody suggested Old Vally Farms to me so I went out and had a look. The selection was Incredible, and not just grasses, everything. The marked prices were the best I had seen all year and I was pleased to find that everything was half off right now! The people were so friendly and knowledgeable. I will never buy a plant anywhere else for as long as I live in the area!
A very favorite place of mine! Greg and Shannon have made this growing season so pleasant during some very hot days. The selection is awesome, the assistance and knowledge has been top notch and their enthusiasm for their love of gardening shows.
Was recently told of this nursery and went out almost immediately because I read on the website that they have the largest selection of day lillies. Well, not only did they have an overwhelming selection of day lillies but other plants also. They have an incredible selection of shade plants including hostas. Overall, their selection of shrubs, perennials and other yard plants is very good...so are their prices. Everything is locally grown which is a real plus when it comes to plant survival rates. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful. If you're a gardener you have to check them out.
USUALLY I'd leave a shining review for this place. It's been my favorite nursery since moving to this area. HOWEVER, having curbside pick up for an establishment in a giant open air environment is ridiculous. If I was the type of person buying petunias for a personality-less garden, then sure...I'd let someone else pick out my plants. But when I'm driving from BF Nyssa, I expect to be able to peruse, choose and purchase, while maintaining 6-10 feet social distance...LIKE AN ADULT. Never once have I been to this nursery and seen more than a dozen people at a time on the property. Theres a difference between cautious and lame...way to cross that line
