McAuliffe's Valley Nursery - Snohomish WA

I can’t recommend McAuliffe’s Valley Nursery in Snohomish enough! This family-owned gem has one of the greatest selections I’ve seen at any local nursery—beautiful trees, shrubs, perennials, Japanese maples, conifers, and so much more, all grown right on their fertile Snohomish Valley fields. What truly sets them apart is the best service around. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener, they take the time to offer practical advice tailored to our Pacific Northwest conditions. No pushy sales, just real expertise and care. On top of that, the quality of the products is excellent—healthy, vigorous plants that establish well and thrive in the garden. Prices feel fair, especially considering how much stock is field-grown on-site. If you’re in the Snohomish area and looking for plants, pots, soil amendments, or just some gardening inspiration, make the trip to McAuliffe’s. It’s worth every minute. I’ll definitely be back again and again!

Such a beautiful nursery! Tons of variety. Parking was easy and sufficient. Enjoyed exploring with my mom and her walker, grounds are wheelchair accessible. Staff was knowledgeable and helped me pick plants for fall planting. I'm currently in a rental house so I wanted to keep costs down. We were able to get what I needed to fill a garden bed and stay within my budget. (Last pic is my garden bed at home that I filled for under $40, with the exception of the 2 white flower bunches on each corner end.) Highly recommended.

This nursery is conveniently located and has a beautiful curated selection of well-tended plants. It may be slightly more expensive, but you know the plants will thrive immediately after planting. I generally enjoy shopping and find the staff helpful and courteous, but I did shop about 45 min before closing one day and felt rushed to the checkout where I then stood in line waiting - time I could have used making sure of my selections. For the bedding plants - I do super enjoy that they are arranged by color. I haven't ever seen that before and it makes sense for how you might choose one. But BEWARE - annuals and perennials are mixed and it is sometimes difficult to distinguish which is which.

This is a great nursery with plenty of plants to choose from for all your outdoor needs. From shade to full suj, perennials to annuals, shrubs to trees, they will likely have what you're looking for. There are also many different areas to give you inspiration for your outdoor designs and a nice shop to get crafted items that you might like. The area is tranquil, and the employees are helpful. Highly recommended.
