Came for strawberry UPICK and The strawberries are wonderful, sweet and soft, that was the best part of the trip. Less fun stuff: * blackberries and thistles made picking / walking around difficult * we came ~10am on the 3rd day of the fields opening and it took like 1.5 hours for 4 of us to get 10lbs of strawberries. wish each plant had more strawberries, I’ve been to other UPICK that have more berries per plant, and could get 1.5/2x the amount in the same time * it was pretty difficult to find truly ripe, deep red berries. we got a good mix of pretty ripe and some still slightly white berries cos we were trying very hard to make the 3lb minimum lol. tips: bring a hat, long pants, and come EARLY overall it was an ok experience with yummy berries but I’d personally go to the other UPick farms I’ve been to just personal preference
We got here at 9am it’s raining and cold today so scared many folks away….. after an hour we managed 3lbs of berries between two people! We searched high and low to at least get 5lbs. Not possible. Apparently they were picked out by 8:30am which is silly. But makes sense with the condition of the field. I have been coming here for the past 10 years and every year the fields look worse and worse. I understand on their responses that they can’t keep up with maintaining the fields due to being a small team etc but this year was very poor. Almost surprised they are open to be honest. Today, we tried many rows to get a flimsy 3lbs picked. Also my kiddo mentioned how yummy the berries were, and the lady working sternly told her, “you better not eat those until you pay for them. 😬” I grew up picking berries and even worked on a few farms…. telling a child to not eat before she pays for a raspberry is low. Anyways here are some photos of the field. Be your own judge.
This was my first time here, and I had nothing to complain about. The only minus is there were many nettles along the path thus making it very painful to pick strawberries. The parking is spacious and the price is reasonable compared to stores' prices. My friends and I had a great time together picking and selecting the best berries for us. They love the farm and want to be back in the near future. Keep up the good work
If you can find a better farm, the farm was super hard to find , the drive into the farm is terrible , went strawberry picking the strawberry was not good ! Bitter and sour tasted like store bought ! PSA there are weeds & thorns everywhere it was hard to walk and PICK the berries ! For how expensive this farm is you’d think they’d take better care of it
Great place for picking, so interesting. So sweet strawberries and raspberries. Good experience u-pick for kids. Nice farm with easy access and parking. Good quality and fun. Going here has become our summer tradition. Quick weighing and payment, good service.
