We loved strawberry picking on Memorial Day and supporting our local farm! My son loved getting to run around with other kids his age and eat the juicy, sweet, delicious berries right from the farm. The weather was perfect too - clear skies, warm temps, and sunshine all around!
What a lovely first experience picking strawberries. There were plenty of wonderful ripe red berries, just standing in the fields smelled terrific, the staff was friendly, and oh man, them strawberries were oh so sweet. It's also really nice that the farm provides and lets us keep the buckets.
It was our first time picking strawberries yesterday. We had a blast! Get the darker ones - they're sweeter. The staff was friendly. The way it should be. Inexpensive, easy to get to, clearly explained. Everyone's super friendly and there's a small playground with picnic tables to chill at after you pick out your veggies. More people should bike here, but I may be biased.
The CSA has, every week so far, had generous rations, good variety, and of course top notch taste. The photo attached is our MEDIUM share!
