Glenn's Flowers & Plants - Waimanalo HI

I know how much a one‑star review can hurt a small business, so it pains me to write this. Still, I feel I was taken advantage of—though I admit part of it may be due to my own lack of knowledge about pricing. I’m not a fan of grass, but I wanted something to help keep weeds down in my backyard. I decided to try Mondo grass, thinking it might be a good option. At Glenn’s, I paid $50 for a tray. Later, I discovered the exact same tray at Home Depot for $25. To make matters worse, Glenn’s did not provide me with a receipt, which makes it difficult to properly account for the purchase. I understand that small businesses don’t have the same buying power as big box stores, and I want to support local shops. But a 200% markup feels excessive, especially in today’s economic climate. That said, I take responsibility for not researching prices beforehand. This was a hard lesson for me, and I share it here so others can make a more informed decision.

Efficient and friendly staff. Not desperately helpful where they won't leave you alone like at some stores. Plants are high quality. Got 20 for the clinic and they all look beautiful. I didn't know this till I was leaving but for everyone, if it's your first time coming here there is parking on the street.

Reasonable prices plants and trees. Very friendly and knowledgable of how to care for them. I bought a hawaiian chili pepper plant, a succulent, 2 types of eggplant and a butter lettuce plant for $20.00

Beautiful property and well organized with a variety of indoor and outdoor plants. Staff was proactive and attentive. Mahalo!
