A great area for a fun experience. Pick Your Own (PYO) prices are cheap, so you can really get a bang for your buck. Great for individuals, couples, and families 8/2024 - I felt the need to update this review as I have continued to visit this farm over the last several years. I am continued to be impressed with the offerings, including PYO that aren't typically available at other farms like string beans and edamame. Everyone at the farm is so kind and considerate and willing to help. The quality of produce continues to exceed my expectations. I have made several phone calls to reserve large quantities of sweet corn and most recently elderberries, and love that this is an option especially for those interested in canning/preserving. My biggest "complaint" is it being cash only as I typically do not carry cash and prefer other methods of payment. While I know this is my preference, I know that this business is entitled to choose what they accept. Despite this "inconvenience" I will continue to visit and support them!
Love this berry farm. We picked blueberries and blackberries. We brought our own containers from home, and they had to be weighed before we picked so they can accurately calculate what we bought. Signs said they had containers you could buy if you forgot to bring your own. The staff were all so kind, friendly, and helpful and they showed us where we could do our picking. They also have other fruits and veggies like corn, cabbage, peppers, plums, peaches, great beans, corn, cantaloupe... They only accept cash, so come prepared. This is an excellent place to pick berries with your kids, too.
There is nothing as good as fresh, locally grown, produce. George Schmidt Berry Farm not only has delicious berries they grow, but they also have fresh fruits and vegetables from other local farms. Great prices, friendly service and delicious locally grown produce. Well worth the trip.
Thee friendliest family farm for the pick your own there is around. All of their fruit and produce is top notch. The fields are well taken care of and also good farm management of when to harvest and spread out through the growing seasons! Highly recommended.
A friendly farm with a wide variety of produce, welcoming patrons to pick their own (specified) produce or purchase items from their market. I loved the open setting, found their rates quite economical and the whole experience quite relaxing. It was the pick your own peach and blueberry time when i visited; found the peaches to be exceptionally sweet and blueberries more flavorful than any I’ve bought at a store. If Justin Bieber discovered this farm, he’d be pressed to update lyrics and insert Pennsylvania in lieu of Georgia.
