Wonderful time! We love the English menu this weekend and the fact that it changes each weekend. Food was delicious and filling! We recommend the cider flights, to try some different ones! Highly recommend. Open till mid-October and then closed for the winter and open again in May!
About a 30 minute trip from Fargo well worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating- hot and muggy so we went inside. The inside is nice and simple pictures of the cider and recycled pallet bar and counter which was awesome. We had a flight and I had a bloody cider and she had a Peach cobbler drink. Dubbed “the best drink I have ever had”. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and she had the elote pasta. They were both awesome. Tons of chicken in both and the flavor was awesome. The potato salad side was tasty as well. We spoke with the owner/chef. She stopped and asked how we were. My wife wanted to see the manager -Greg- but she was told Greg wasn’t out because it was too hot. She also said Greg would end up not leaving her alone and climbing into her lap. She saw this as a plus….but to no avail. She did say Greg would be out end of day to clean up the popcorn off the ground and any other food that he can find. So maybe next time. We were told that each weekend there is a different menu. “ we feel like we are inviting you into our home and we wouldn’t feed you the same thing every time you come so we change it” Great people, menu and food environment. We will definitely be back and bring friends.
This place was a awesome find! We were traveling from Michigan to Montana and found the Cider House on Harvests Hosts. Dan does a great job of creating quality ciders ( my wife and I really LOVED the Pepper Berry and the Pear ciders. Also the Hopped cider was delicious if you enjoy hoppy beer). We both had pizzas that were delicious and the kids really enjoyed their grilled cheese sandwiches.
We had a nice visit, and tried 4 different ciders. They had many different types of apple cider and numerous varieties of other fruits. I particularly enjoyed a tart cherry cider, called Birdie. My wife liked the pear cider best. The indoor seating was space. We waited outside in a area with picnic tables and other tables. The tables had umbrellas. We could ordered and enjoyed the appetizer we outside. But we wanted to sit inside. We had a crab Rangoon dip with tortilla chips. It was excellent. I'm showing a picture of the large menu board of the ciders they have on tap. They also have a limited menu. It changes weekly, and they have the new menu on their web site every Wednesday. If your up for 45 mile drive from Fargo. It's nice location to get out of town.
A friend said I need to try this place. Its out in the country. They produce everything from the ground up. They have their own orchard. They have their own stillary. You can have a hard cider along with a bit to eat. I have not had alot of hard ciders. I tried 4 different ones from here. I thought they did an amazing job on them. Now the food was to a level unmatched. It was something you go back to just to have it again. I saw so many things I want to try. I was watching plate after plate of oh my i wish I ordered that one. I would say take a drive into the country. Check them out.
