I had a wonderful visit to Catoctin Mountain Orchard! The apples were absolutely beautiful. They were fresh, crisp, and perfectly displayed. The scenic mountain views made the whole experience even more special, especially on a clear day. There’s also a great selection of food to enjoy while you’re there, so it’s easy to make a full outing of it. The country store is charming and full of delicious treats, especially the pumpkin pie and apple pie, both tasted homemade and incredibly flavorful. The pies are baked fresh too! The tractor ride was a highlight, adding a fun and relaxing touch to the visit. Overall, it’s a perfect place for families, friends, or anyone looking for a classic fall experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Awesome country store! Outside they have seasonal apple picking and flower picking. Beautiful view Lots of cool homemade baking and produce! Great holiday feel! A bit overpriced but still worth it!
Love this place!!! I've been here numerous times. They have a new retail greenhouse, but I wait for the Saturdays when they open all the greenhouses to the public. They have SO much to choose from. It can be a little overwhelming. The prices are great and the selection is amazing. I make time for a trip here every spring. I can get all the flowers I need to decorate my yard and deck. Make sure you get one of their big carts. You're gonna need it!!!😃
I've never had a problem in the many years I've been getting produce here. I stopped last week and got some delicious, homegrown, local strawberries. I stopped today and got two more quarts...And they are hot house strawberries. White in the middle. And half of them on the bottom were rotten and even had mold. For $10 a quart ....berries could have gotten from the grocery store for $2.99. They should at least advertise that these are NOT local berries anymore. Driscoll's at best. I understand strawberry season is short but don't use hothouse berries to try and get over on people. I've been getting local berries my entire life and I know the difference.
I love this place. A great stop when traveling. Fresh fruit and veggies, homemade pies and donuts, and plenty of preserves. Picked up a frozen pie for family when I arrived. Always clean and ready to help if you are looking for something special in the store.
