Apex Orchards - Shelburne MA

Beautiful spot for apple picking! When we went there were food trucks with donuts and hot dogs and adult and baby cows to pet and feed. The only thing is, though the farm store opens at 9, the apple picking and donuts don't start until 10. They were nice enough to let us start apple picking early. I explained we were visiting from out of state for a wedding and really only had an hour to spare that Saturday morning. Several varieties of apples are available for picking and they have plenty of other items available in the store. I loved trying the new variety of apple they have samples of at the cash register. Definitely a kid-friendly place!

Lovely orchard with a beautiful view! They had a good variety of apples (Empire, Golden Delicious, Cortland, Macintosh, Macoun, Honeycrisp, but all out of GingerGolds). The farm store had pumpkins and lots of yummy treats as well. Fresh donuts are sold on the weekends only.

We went to a weekend Apple & Cheese event. They have a very picturesque setting with endless views, and there were some food and craft vendors, as well as a talented 4-man band. Beautiful view of property. Wonderful orchard, nice ripe peaches. Lots of vendors there for The Peach Festival. Dogs allowed except in orchard. I will return next year.

I'm really happy with what Apex Orchards had done with the absolutely incredible view on the hill. This was a spot I would love to just sit on my car on the side of the road and enjoy. I didn't know how I felt about the new store at first. But it's actually really really nice. You can enjoy every bit of the scenery and enjoy a fruit and drink while sitting down on the deck. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. When I went it must have been peach season because there were a lot of peaches available and they where absolutely delicious. There where also some really good little plums. Overall I really love this addition to the already amazing view. Photos just don't do it justice. It's a place you must see in person. You can see the city of Greenfield from the deck.
