Adam's Apple Orchard & Country Store - Ault CO

A perfectly sized and perfectly friendly apple picking experience! Even without the punishingly exclusive reservation system of some other Apple orchards in the area, Adams manages to have a huge variety of apples with plenty of go around. Some types can get picked over later on the weekend afternoons, but there are some many kinds and trees; you’re sure to find more that are just as delicious. It was a nicely non flashy setup; a cute tractor ride from the parking lot and a beautiful main barn, but otherwise earthy, intimate and very special in its welcoming.

Definitely worth the drive from Fort Collins. Went on a Saturday morning right at opening to avoid the rush, which was a good decision, as the apples were pretty picked-over from previous weekends and there was a constant stream of vehicles as we were leaving around 11:30 am. Apple picking here would be a great activity for small children, as the trees are all very small so the apples are easy to reach. The country store is quite cute, and has many different jams and preserves. Overall, a fun fall experience worth a 25 min drive. Probably not for those who live 45+ min away.

This is one of the only places in Denver metro where you can pick apples, and is also one of the only places you don’t need a months in advance reservation. My apple picking experience is primarily in New York where apple picking is everywhere so even with the 1.5 hour drive I’m going to make it work haha. Very family friendly place my kids get so excited to come every year.

Our first field trip to Adam's Apple 🍎 Orchard in Ault, Colorado. I love supporting small businesses in Colorado. Homeschool families or mamas with littles this is a must go! Lots of apple varieties to choose from, pick as you go. The owners are really kind, knowledgeable and helpful. Great with families! And their home grown Apple Cider is a purchase you'll not want to pass up on. Absolutely delicious 😋!

Came here in September to go apple picking with my girlfriend. Even though they didn't have a huge crop due to the spring freeze, they were very friendly and we did end up finding a few trees that had quite a few apples on them! A cute little farm that also grows pumpkins and other fruit and vegetables that are available to pick.
